I have queries regarding investment. My age is 28 years. I am currently in a contractual job in abroad for 1year(extendable). I have 2 goals for future. First one is saving for my marriage in 2years and 2nd one is fund for my start up business plan in next 6 years. In what type of mutual fund do I invest or any other investment plans?
Lump sum or STP? shedding of confusion please. After going through the advice I deposited Rs 2L in ICICI Liquid Fund in Aug, 2016 and start weekly STP of Rs. 5000. In the last week of Aug my first STP was made @ Rs 127.50 ps. the STP is going on regularly. What I have observed that the average of per Unit after paying 30 instalments not come down from my first purchase per unit i.e, Rs 127.50 ps. My question is that had I invested this amount in one lump sum at the beginning my entire investment was at Rs 127.50 ps per unit where as through STP it would be quite hire. Kindly clear the myth or confusion in this regard. Further I have another Rs 5L to invest in Balance Fund then in how many months it should be TRD through STP to get average? The longer the period of transfer higher the chances of loosing averaging as the unit rates may increase in majority of instalments as happened with me as stated above. Kindly enlightened with all pros n cons?
I am new to SIP. I will invest 5000 per month. My age is 31. Investment Period 15-20 years. For 1 child education & marriage. Suggest excellent growth oriented SIP plans?
I want a answer from an advisor and their thoughts. I have a scenario here for one of my friend's family and they asked me this question on behalf of their son who is 33 years old. They have 25 Lac Rs surplus, and every month my friend has a capacity to invest 20 thousand Rs through SIP. Now I have selected around 6 mutual funds, few of them equity(more) and few debt. In equity one is Large cap and 2 mid cap. Here I might be wrong but based on my research I selected funds. Through SIP my friend will invest 3000-4000 Rs each month in each SIP making total of 20 thousand Rs. However about the surplus, he wants to invest in those same funds 25 lacs distributed, i.e., suppose 3-4 lacs in each fund selected. The horizon is minimum of 15 years, beyond that depends on that situation after 15 years. Questions is should he invest 25 lacs Rs in funds as an initial investment amount along with SIP, or if suppose we select eg., HDFC fund and allotment from him is 4 lacs Rs from 25 lacs plus 4000 Rs SIP every month for 15 years, in this case should 4 lacs go in HDFC in one shot at first instalment along with SIP or 50k-1lac every 2 or 4 months. This is where we are confused, the main confusion is are we allowed to invest more amount in ongoing SIP like above HDFC fund in 2-4 months period or whatever we choose. I will appreciate any good view on our scenario in order to grow money and minimizing risk?
Request your suggestion if I am in right direction: I am 28 years old, CTC 6 LPA, have a housing loan of 26 L from SBI (term loan of 30 years) EMI will start from 3 years in future (2020) although interest would be charged for this period; around 22K EMI. I have started 3 SIP's (2k,2k,1k) total 5k no other debt. I am confused whether to transfer the loan to different bank so as to enable immediate EMI cut. Also please suggest any more ways to save money?
