Which Fund category should I start my SIP

I am planning to start new SIP, and will invest Rs. 4,000 per month. How should I allocate the money? Should I invest 2000 each Large Cap + Mid Cap or invest only Large cap. I have checked websites and blogs for choosing right SIP. So please suggest which SIP I have to start for long term of 10 to 15 years. Waiting for your valuable reply?

Investment in mutual funds should be based on the risk that you can take.

For example - if you can take moderately high to high risk then the fund categories that you have mentioned - large cap and mid & small cap - is fine. Or alternatively you can start your SIP in diversified equity funds.

Please go through our research section link and choose fund suitable for starting your SIP.

Hope the above helps! Thanks for writing to Advisorkhoj.
