I want to invest some money in debt funds for capital appreciation for a time horizon of more than five years. I consider myself a moderate risk taker. Please suggest appropriate funds?
You may invest in Income funds. There are quite a few top performing Income Funds which you can see in the link given here https://www.advisorkhoj.com/mutual-funds...
However, since your investment horizon is more than 5 years, why do not you look at investing in hybrid debt oriented funds (popularly known as MIPs also)? Returns from hybrid debt oriented funds are little higher than that of pure debt funds as they have 5-25% equities (based on the scheme mandate) in their respective portfolios. Please check the MIP returns from here https://www.advisorkhoj.com/mutual-funds...
If you would like to know more about MIPs, do read this article https://www.advisorkhoj.com/articles/Mutual-Funds...
