What is the advise on SIPs for the long term

I am 23 year old and want to invest in mutual fund for long term. I can take high risk and can invest Rs. 10,000 per month for now and will increase the amount in 3-4 years? Can you please suggest me a portfolio of funds in which I should invest?

As you are young and can take high risk, investing in diversified equity funds SIP is the best option for you.

You can invest in any of the following two funds @ Rs 5,000 each.

ICICI Prudential Value Discovery Fund

Birla Sun Life Advantage Fund

SBI Magnum Multi-cap Fund

Kotak Select Focus Fund

Franklin India High Growth Companies Fund

After investing you should review your portfolio once every year to ensure that the funds are performing on the expected lines. You can increase your SIP amount anytime in future depending upon the monthly surpluses available.

Wishing you great investing success!
