SWP withdrawal from balanced funds and equity funds is gaining popularity amongst investors looking for regular returns.

With regards to your query as to what would be the return after 10 years, if you withdraw Rs 3,750 per month as SWP from an investment of Rs 5 Lakhs in UTI Equity Fund, is difficult to answer. Since there is neither fixed return nor any surety of returns in mutual funds, it is difficult to predict future returns of mutual funds. More so, because returns are linked to market movements.

However, based on the historical return of this fund, you can see, what would have been the returns in last 10 years, had you started the SWP with the above amount. Please check this link from our SWP Tool https://www.advisorkhoj.com/mutual-funds...

You will notice that the total fund value is now Rs 10.44 Lakhs against an investment of Rs 5 Lakhs made on January 01, 2006. The amount withdrawn through SWP is Rs 3,750 per month after one year from the date of investment. The fund has given 13.16% annual returns and you would have withdrawn a total of Rs 4.50 Lakhs through 120 equal monthly instalments of Rs 3,750 each.

Hope the above helps.

Thanks for writing to Advisorkhoj.
