Have I selected good short term debt funds

I like to invest 10000 / month for 1 year. Like to get something extra than bank FD's. Decided to invest in birla sun life short term fund and hdfc short term opportunity fund. Which one is better and if you have any other recommendation?

Birla Sun Life Short Term Fund and HDFC Short Term Opportunities Fund, both are good performing funds from the short term debt fund category and ideal fit for your one year investment horizon.

As you have rightly mentioned, you can expect superior post tax returns on short term funds over fixed deposits.
