I have invest Rs. 770000.00 in Reliance Tax Saver Fund, Dividend plan. But I have not received my quarterly dividend which is due from December 2018. Please let me the reason?
Please note that dividend in mutual funds are declared from the profit made by the fund or from the available surpluses and it is totally at the discretion of the fund manager/ AMC.
Please also note that dividends in mutual funds are not assured based on the dividend frequency mentioned along with the scheme name. in this case, you have invested in Reliance Tax Saver Fund - Quarterly Dividend option, but the fund has not declared any dividend in the quarter ending December 2018. However the fund's quarterly dividend payout track record is impressive as it has given dividends in each quarter since year 2013 to September 2018 quarter. You can check the track record here https://www.advisorkhoj.com/mutual-funds-research...
Please read more about the fund here https://www.advisorkhoj.com/articles/mutual-funds...
Since the dividends are not assured, the AMC/ fund manager is not bound to provide you reasons of non-declaration of dividends. hope you will understand this.
