Can I invest in ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage Fund and Reliance Regular Savings Fund Equity option

I am planning to invest lump-sum amount of 1 to 1.5 lacs in Dividend payout option which pays monthly/ quarterly or yearly. My requirement is I should get decent return from the fund with good dividend payout as ready to block this for 3-5 years term. My research suggests: 1. ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage Fund(D), 2. Reliance Regular Savings Fund - Equity Option(D). Can you suggest if its a good choice or should I go for something else as I am ready to split the funds in 2 schemes. Kindly suggest?

Your choice of both these funds are good and ideal for investment horizon of 3-5 years. But remember that, ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage Fund is a Balanced Fund (equity oriented) whereas Reliance Regular Savings Fund Equity option is a midcap oriented equity fund.

Both the funds have good dividend paying track record. You can check the historical dividends of Reliance regular Savings fund Equity fund from here. Please note that, ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage Fund has three dividend paying options - Regular dividend, Monthly and Quarterly Dividend. You may check the track record from here

Splitting the total investment amount in two funds is a good idea.
