Can I invest in direct plan in the regular plan folio

Yes, you can invest in the same folio and in the same scheme in direct plans. In that case, if you keep the agent code blank that will not be considered as direct plan. You will have to select the option 'direct' in order to avail the 'benefit' of direct plan.

Please also note that even though the folio number will remain same, there will be two scheme/option - example, HDFC Prudence Fund Regular Plan dividend and HDFC Prudence Fund Direct Plan dividend
