Are the NAVs of equity mutual funds shown on various website sites, including yours, post expense ratios? Are NAVs of dividend schemes of debt funds shown on various websites, including yours, post expense ratio and dividend distribution tax?
Yes, the NAVs of all kind of mutual funds shown on various website sites are post deducting expense ratio. The NAVs you see on various websites are net of the expense ratio.
Similarly, NAVs of debt funds are shown post accounting the expense ratio and paying dividend distribution tax (DDT) etc. Therefore, in case of debt funds also the NAV is net of all the expenses.
Please also note that different websites do not show different NAVs of a scheme. The NAV is calculated after deducting all the expenses including DDT in case of debt funds, by the asset management company and published on their website and also on the website of www.amfiindia.com on a daily basis. All the websites, including ours source the NAV from these places. No research website or agency calculates the NAV and therefore, it is one NAV for each scheme across all the websites.
