I am 41 years old. I want to invest Rs 4000 for 10 to 15 years in different mutual funds. Which will be the best & suitable for me?
As you want to invest for 10 to 15 years, equity mutual funds could be suitable for you. However to know which equity funds will be the best and suitable for you, please note the following -
There are many a categories in equity mutual funds and selection of funds from those should be based on your risk profile. There are mainly 3 categories of equity funds in which you can start SIPs - Large cap funds, diversified equity funds and mid & small cap funds.
If your risk profile is moderately high, you can go with large cap funds. To have a best SIP plan with large cap funds, SBI Bluechip Fund or Birla Sun Life Frontline Equity Fund or Kotak Select Focus Fund could be good choices.
In case you are able to take high risk, diversified equity funds or mid & small cap fund could be an ideal choice. For creating a best SIP plan out of diversified equity funds, Birla Sun Life Advantage Fund or SBI Magnum Multi-Cap Fund or Mirae Asset India Opportunities Fund can be considered.
From Mid & small cap category, Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund or SBI Magnum Midcap Fund or Canara Robeco Emerging Equities Fund can be part of your SIP plans.
Hope the above suggestions will help you choose the right funds that suits your risk profile. For investing Rs 4,000 you can select two funds and invest Rs 2,000 in each.
