It is very difficult to answer as to what would the returns after 15 years on the balanced funds that you have invested in. This is simply because, mutual funds returns are not assured and there are many factors which influences the returns of a balanced fund. Some of these factors could be – stock selection by the fund manager, how debt markets does in the next 15 years and also on the funds that you have invested in and how they are doing currently.

Having said the above, we find that balanced fund category return for 1o years is 11.82% (according to valueresearch website). Accordingly, if you benchmark the same return for your investments, then you can expect a corpus of Rs. 2.67 Lakhs. However, if you consider the category returns of 3 and 5 years, then it is 19.39% and 12.60% (according to valueresearch website).

However, if you see the long term returns of top balanced funds, it is between 13.50 – 16%. Please check the returns of top performing balanced funds

We do not know in which three funds you have invested in, but we have done our own research and found that these are the top 5 balanced funds to be invested in 2016

Therefore, in conclusion, we would like to reiterate that the return will depend on the funds that you have invested in, apart from the above factors.
