Should I opt for roll over of Axis Hybrid Fund Series 5

Axis Hybrid Fund - Series 5 - Regular Plan was launched on 25/07/2013. It is a close ended debt oriented fund and was initially launched for 42 months only. However, the AMC has requested investors for rollover of the scheme for 1346 days and accordingly the new extended maturity date is now September 30, 2020.

The fund has not performed well in terms of comparing its return with that of benchmark and category average performance, therefore, according to us, it is not prudent to opt for rollover.

Please note that if you want to rollover, you will have to sign the consent form and submit to AXIS Mutual Fund office or its registrar by January 24, 2017. In case you do not take any action, your units will be redeemed automatically and the proceeds will either be automatically credited to your bank account or sent to your registered address.
