I am planning to add Franklin India Smaller Companies and 1 Balanced Fund. Please advise. Debt investment in PPF and FDs. I am 33 years of age?
1. You are investing in good funds through monthly SIPs and the same can be continued for the long term while reviewing the respective fund performances at least once every year.
2. You have not given the full scheme name of DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund in which you have invested the lump sum amount of Rs 90,000.
3. Yes, you can add Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund in your portfolio as it is one of the top performing funds in the mid & small cap category. With regards to balanced funds, you can select ICICI Prudential Balanced Fund or HDFC Balanced Fund.
4. Investments in PPF and FDs are okay as this helps you have exposure in fixed income products and a good way to maintain asset allocation
5. Since you are young, only 33, having a long term investment horizon will benefit you from compounding and help you achieve your financial goals.
