How to transfer funds from liquid funds to ELSS funds as advised by you. How much returns do these liquid funds generate?
Transferring from liquid funds to any other fund is very easy.
All you have to do is invest the lump sum amount in a liquid fund and submit a switch form along with your investments. In the switch form you have to mention the 'Transferor scheme name' (i.e. the scheme from which you are switching. in your case t is the liquid fund) and the 'Transferee scheme name' (i.e. the scheme to which you are switching. In your case it is the ELSS scheme), the amount that you want to switch, frequency (daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly) and the period from which to which you want to transfer the amount.
Please note that the switches can be done only within the same AMC. For example - if you have invested in liquid fund of ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, then the switches can be made only to the ELSS scheme of ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund.
Liquid funds can give you around 6.50 - 7% annual returns.
Hope your doubt is cleared. Thanks for writing to Advisorkhoj.
