I am based in Mumbai - Dadar west. Just for information, I would like to do the investment directly with the AMC and not through any broker. Also I want your advice. I would like some income from the investments I would do. As for now, whatever information I could gather from the net was that balanced funds seem to be safer and with better returns?
1. You can contact ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund by calling their Customer Service numbers 1800 222 999 or 1800 200 6666 or you may write to them at enquiry@icicipruamc.com You can also buy their funds online by visiting their website https://www.icicipruamc.com/InvOnline/app/aspx/frmExistingInvestor.aspx (if you are existing investor). Alternatively you can visit any of the branches as give in this link https://www.icicipruamc.com/ContactUs/BranchLocator.aspx Their head office contact details are 022-26525000
2. You can contact Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund by calling their Customer Service numbers 1800 270 7000 or 1800 22 7000 or you may write to them at connect@birlsunlife.com. You can also buy their funds online by visiting their website https://mutualfund.birlasunlife.com/Pages/Secured/Individual/MyAccount/Transactions/InvInvestOnline.aspx Alternatively you can contact their office at One India Bulls Centre, Tower 1, 17th Floor, Jupiter Mill Compound, 841, Senapati Bapat Marg, Elphinstone Road, Mumbai – 400013.
3. Yes, Balanced funds are ideal investment option for moderate risk takers. If you need some regular return from your balanced funds, then you can opt for monthly SWP withdrawal plan (SWP). You can choose a fixed date and amount for drawing regularly. It is suggested to withdraw through SWP after 12 months from the date of your investment as the capital gains from each withdrawal will be tax free. Withdrawals made before 12 months will be treated as short term capital gain and will be taxed at the rate of your tax slab.
The other way to get returns from your balanced funds investment is to opt for monthly / quarterly dividend options of these funds. You can check which balanced funds provide this option from here https://www.advisorkhoj.com/mutual-funds-research/categorywise-dividends
4. ICICI Prudential Balanced Fund, Birla Sun Life Balanced 95 Fund, SBI Magnum Balanced Fund and HDFC Balanced Fund are good options in this category. Please see the complete list of top performing funds from here https://www.advisorkhoj.com/mutual-funds...
Hope the above helps! Thanks for writing to Advisorkhoj.
