I have very recently started investing in mutual funds. My SIP amount is Rs 35000, equally distributed in 7 funds. BSL Frontline Equity (G), SBI Bluechip (G), HDFC Midcap Opportunity (G), L&T Value Fund (G), DSPBR Small & Midcap (G), Reilance Small Cap (G), Axis Long Term Equity (G). My questions are, whether my choice of fund is appropriate & how much corpus approximately I can generate in 5 years with these funds. Lastly any suggestions regarding investment in any other fund with an objective to generate around 60 lakhs 5 yrs down the loan with the total SIP amount?
You have selected good schemes to invest through monthly SIPs. Your current investments are spread in large cap, mid & small cap and ELSS Funds. 57% of your investments are in mid and small cap funds, 29% in large cap fund and rest 14% is in a ELSS fund which can be considered as an equity fund. The overall portfolio is quite aggressive.
With Rs 35,000 monthly SIPs you can create a corpus of Rs 28.87 Lakhs assuming 12% annual returns and Rs 31.38 Lakhs if we assume the returns to be 15% annual. https://www.advisorkhoj.com/tools-and-calculators...
With regards to your query of building a corpus of Rs 65 Lakhs in 5 years, your monthly SIP amount should be minimum Rs 76,000 per month assuming annual returns of 12%. https://www.advisorkhoj.com/tools-and-calculators...
Hope you find the above helpful. Thanks for writing to Advisorkhoj !
