This is called transmission of units. You should first check if you are the nominee or the second holder. If you are nominee or the second holder then following is the process –

Write an application to the respective AMC requesting transmission of units in your name and enclose the attested death certificate of your husband, your PAN Card Copy and bank details along with a cancelled cheque. In case your mutual fund KYC has not been done then the AMC will help you in processing your KYC requirement. For KYC formalities you need to provide your address proof and one photograph in addition to the above documents.

Now, in case you are neither the nominee nor the second holder, then you will have to apply for the transmission of units by providing a succession certificate or your husband’s Will copy. Either of these should be submitted to the AMC along with a letter and all the documents as mentioned above.
