How to build a corpus of 6 Crores through mutual funds

My name is Dr Nandish, I am a doctor by profession and I want to build a corpus of 5-6 crore over a period of 10-15 years. I can invest 40-50k per month. Please suggest the strategy and mutual fund schemes with moderate and balanced risk. I'm also interested in ELSS scheme, kindly guide me which one should I go with as far as ELSS is concerned?

It is hard to build a corpus of Rs 5-6 Crores over a period of 10-15 years by just investing Rs 40-50,000 a month. For example – if you invest Rs 50,000 through monthly SIPs for a period of 15 years, you can accumulate only Rs 2.52 Crores (this is based on 12% annualized returns from equity or hybrid aggressive funds). Therefore, you need to increase your monthly SIP investments substantially, almost double, in order to achieve the above goal.
