How long one should hold a non performing mutual fund

For how long one should hold a non performing mid and small cap?

You should not hold any non performing fund irrespective of any fund category. Once you identify that the fund is non-performing, immediately redeem the fund and invest the redemption proceeds in a good performing fund.

Shifting your investments from a non-performing fund to a performing fund will get much better results in future than holding onto the non-performing fund in anticipation of its future good performance.
