How can I double my money in the shortest time period

Sorry to say, I am not aware of a way which can double the money within a short period of time.

What I know is that equity mutual funds are the best investment asset class and here you can double your money at least in 6 years, if I assume the returns to be annual 12.5%. Historically, large cap and diversified equity funds have been giving over 12% annual returns and therefore, you can assume that the trend may continue in future as well. Having said the above, if you plan to invest in equity mutual funds, your investment horizon should be minimum 5 years or more.

Let us now see what if you get more returns form your equity mutual fund investments, in how many years can you double your money –

Assuming 12.5% – 72 months

Assuming 14% – 65 months

Assuming 15% – 60 months

My suggestion to you would be to invest in equity mutual funds, particularly mid and small cap funds (if you can take high risk) as this category of funds can give the best returns to you.
