I have got Rs 40 Lakhs and I want Rs 50000 per month. Is it ok if I put this amount in 2 balanced funds monthly dividend plan?
It is nearly impossible to get this kind of return (by way of dividend) from balanced funds.
There are few good balanced fund schemes which has fairly good track record of paying monthly dividends. But if you analyse carefully, you will find the annual dividend yield of these funds vary from 7% to 10% maximum. In that case your need of Rs 50,000 from investment of Rs 50,00,000 cannot be fulfilled. These monthly dividend paying balanced funds are as follows –
1. ICICI Prudential Balanced Fund
2. HDFC Prudence Fund
3. L&T Prudence Fund
4. DSP BlackRock Balanced Fund
5. Canara Robeco Balanced Fund
And, you can check their dividend payout track records from here https://www.advisorkhoj.com/mutual-funds-research/categorywise-dividends
However, if you are happy with receiving anything between Rs 30,000 – 40,000 per month as dividend from these funds, then you can go ahead with your investment plan.
