Mutual funds are the best investment option to create wealth for the long term.
Investing through SIP or lump sum mode should be based on availability of the investible surplus at your end. In your case, if you have a surplus of Rs. 50,000 per month as you have mentioned, after managing all expenses, then you should invest through monthly SIP mode.
Your selection of funds from large and Mid & Small cap category for your existing SIPs, are amongst top performing in their respective categories. Therefore, you should continue with these funds and add start the new SIPs in these funds only instead of adding new ones!
But remember, that the basket of funds selected by you indicate that you are a moderately high to high risk taker. We are writing this to let you know that mutual fund investments should always be done based on your risk profile. Therefore, if you find that we have rightly assessed your risk profile then the funds selected by you are fine. In case you feel that you cannot take much risk with your entire investments then, adding couple of funds from balanced fund category will bring down the risk level little lower.
Meanwhile, if you want you can try this tool to assess your risk profile https://www.advisorkhoj.com/tools-and-calculators...
Please check the SIP performance of Top performing balance funds from here - https://www.advisorkhoj.com/mutual-funds...
With regards to short term and long term, please note that the above funds are for long term only, i.e. minimum 5 years+. In case you want to save for short term then the fund categories would be different.
Thanks for writing to Advisorkhoj.
