Principal Balanced Fund and Principal Smart Equity Fund Announces Dividends

1. DECLARATION OF DIVIDEND:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT, The Trustee to Principal Mutual Fund has approved Thursday, November 24, 2016 as the Record Date# for the declaration of dividend, subject to availability of distributable surplus, under the Dividend Option of following Scheme(s)/Plan(s) of Principal Mutual Fund:

*Considering the volatile nature of markets, Trustee reserve the right to restrict the quantum of dividend upto, the per unit distributable surplus available on the Record Date.

**As reduced by the amount of applicable statutory levy

# As per the Dividend Policy, in case the Record Date falls on a non-business day, the immediately preceding business day shall deemed to be the Record Date.

Pursuant to the payment of dividend, NAV under Dividend Option of the aforesaid Scheme(s)/Plan(s) would fall to the extent of the payout and statutory levy (if applicable).

All the unitholders under the Dividend Option of the abovementioned Scheme(s)/Plan(s) whose names appear on the Register of Unitholders of our Register & Transfer Agents, M/s Karvy Computershare Pvt. Ltd.,as on the Record Date shall be eligible to receive the dividend.

2. VACATION OF OFFICE OF ALTERNATE DIRECTOR ON THE BOARD OF PRINCIPAL PNB ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPANY PRIVATE LIMITED ('THE COMPANY'):

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT, pursuant to Section 161(2) of the Companies Act, 2013 Mr.Kim Thean Soo, Alternate Director to Mr. Pedro Borda on the Board of the Company has vacated the office with beffect from November 16, 2016.

Consequently, all references pertaining to Mr.Kim Thean Soo in the SAI of Principal Mutual Fund stand deleted

The contents of this addendum shall form an integral part of SAI of Principal Mutual Fund, and all other features, terms and conditions thereof remain unchanged.
